Stool

In line with the Crokinole & Lamp the stools are made of solid oak and Desktop linoleum. The tubular metal legs and the cushion are kept in the same design vocabulary and colour. Inspired by an article from Sarita Harbour – “The eye is drawn to circles and the information contained within, and they are faster and easier for the brain to process than hard edged squares and rectangles […]” – I chose the circle as dominating shape in all of my objects in this project. Besides aesthetic aspects, a round table provides equal access for everyone and more stools can be added easily.
I combined the warm colour of the wood with a pastel mint to create a rather calm and relaxing atmosphere.
