ski helmet

During my practical semester, I worked for Produktus, an industrial design company with a focus on product development. Within the scope of an internal project, I learned all the relevant project steps for the development and implementation from the first draft to prototype. This included market analysis, concept phase, sketching/form finding process, drafts and CAD modelling, as well as the construction of moulds for carbon fibre lamination. The target group consists of technically well-versed skier and people with high demands on quality and external appearance.
The rendering shows the basic design. The special feature of this ski helmet is that the hard shell consists of two parts, an outer shell and an inner shell. Unlike the conventional helmet, this structure allows the goggle strap to be guided behind the outer shell, yet the goggles can be put on top of the helmet. Through precise construction, annoying shifting of the google strap is no longer an issue. Furthermore, the strap no longer distracts or takes away from the hard shell design but instead becomes a nice eye-catcher at the back of the helmet.
